A pair of struggling teams get together tonight in Hollywood, where the Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Washington Wizards at Staples Center.
Washington has dropped four in a row and will open a four-game road trip against the Clippers, Kings, Warriors and Suns. It is 3-7 away from the Verizon Center this season and suffered a 114-113 loss versus the Indiana Pacers on Saturday in DC.
Gilbert Arenas had a triple-double in the setback, ending with 22 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Antawn Jamison had a team-high 31 points and Caron Butler added 23 for the Wizards.
The Clippers will wrap up a six-game homestand Monday and is 2-3 on the residency. They have lost two in a row, including Sunday's 115-90 setback versus the San Antonio Spurs.
Chris Kaman had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers, who fell to 6-8 as the host this season. Baron Davis didn't start due to an intestinal flu, but led the way with 20 points for Los Angeles.
"We've got to put our best foot forward every night,"
Davis said after the Clippers lost their 13th straight game to the Spurs. "We didn't attack enough and that hurt us."
Washington and Los Angeles split a pair of meetings a season ago.
The Wizards have dropped four of their last five contests at the Clippers.
